We are looking forward to discuss our latest 6G research results: the NODROP Linux patch boosts 6G throughputs, the proactive beam steering COMPASS allows for integrated communication & sensing, the 6G-HANDS demo shows 6G immersive robotic control & the interactive PANGOLIN Smart Radio Environment Planer.

Our 6G research focuses on end-to-end network co-design. This means that our demonstrations not only showcase network technologies relevant to 6G, but also illustrate the benefits that future 6G features can provide to users across a range of application domains.

At the heart of our 6G research in 6GEM+ and GEM-X is our fully open-source 6G PRISMA platform, which enables us to support all potential 6G frequency bands from FR1 to FR3 within a single integrated system. Based on state-of-the-art hardware and software that is fully under our control, this platform allows us to implement innovative 6G capabilities today and validate them in real-world scenarios.

More specifically, at booth 26 we will show you …

… our NODROP patch, which eliminates hidden packet losses in the Linux kernel that occurred in time-critical streaming applications. This work demonstrates the importance of cross-layer optimization of the 6G protocol stack. The significant improvements enabled by the NODROP patch, which we demonstrate live at our booth, benefit all Linux-based 5G and 6G implementations. And that was only the beginning: with another patch targeting the USB modem interface, all USB-based 5G modems—and future 6G modems—connected via Linux can already benefit worldwide from German 6G research.

… our proactive beam steering coupled with a digital twin COMPASS, which allows us not only to control swarms of mobile robots in intralogistics and production environments, but also to create additional value through seamlessly integrated sensor technology. The beam-steering algorithms demonstrated here are integrated into our 6G PRISMA platform and can be tested live and interactively at the booth.

… our immersive teleoperation of humanoid robotic hands 6G-HANDS, which we use to demonstrate the impact of our proactive scheduling solution, O-RACES, in a concrete application scenario. Combining high-resolution video transmission from multiple camera perspectives with haptic control of robotic arms and hands places particularly demanding requirements on data transmission quality. With 6G, this level of performance can also be enabled for larger and more complex scenarios.

At booth 21, our Startup.Connect team PANGOLIN demonstrates its latest progress through its award-winning interactive demonstrator, integrating DraGoN AI network planning, HELIOS reflectors and STING grough-truth monitoring in one integrated solution.
