With the award, TU concept GmbH and the Stiftung Industrieforschung, annually recognize early-career researchers from various disciplines who develop innovative ideas with potential for entrepreneurial practice.

The ComNets researchers Stefan Böcker, Melina Geis, Christian Arendt, and Simon Häger have been recognized for their excellent research work on value-driven 6G networks. Their concepts - STING, DRaGon, and HELIOS - have already received international scientific awards and are now being further developed within the BMFTR-funded project PANGOLIN Networks, which originated as a Startup.Connect initiative from the 6GEM transfer hub.

The award is presented annually by TU concept GmbH, a subsidiary of TU Dortmund University, with support from the Stiftung Industrieforschung. It honors early-career researchers across disciplines who create innovative ideas with strong potential for entrepreneurial application. The program particularly highlights topics relevant to industrial SMEs, including business administration, organizational development, technology, and innovation. In 2026, under the theme “Intelligent Systems in Industrial Working Life,” the award recognized outstanding academic research capable of delivering practical solutions for modern industrial environments.
